It's That Time Again: The Vancouver Christmas Market Opens Today!
Embrace the timeless German tradition of Christkindlmarkets, where people gather to savor each other's company, indulge in delicious food and drinks, and delight in shopping for Christmas gifts. This cherished tradition has made its way across the world, including the heart of Canada.
Now in its 13th year, Downtown Vancouver comes alive with the festive spirit, offering mulled wine, savory and sweet delights and a captivating array of traditional German crafts and attractions, all the way until Christmas. From November 16 through December 24, Jack Poole Plaza transforms into a magical winter wonderland, adorned with wooden booths topped by our grandest Herrnhut Stars. This gives you five whole weeks to wander, taste, and enjoy. Discover over 80 artisan huts showcasing handcrafted treasures, perfect for Christmas gifting.

The Vancouver Christmas Market, with its authentic German charm, has become an integral part of Vancouver's holiday season. For MyBrilliantStar, this event is an annual highlight, not only for the picturesque waterfront setting and the twinkling skyscrapers illuminating the night sky over Vancouver. At our booth, we warmly welcome visitors from Canada and around the globe, sharing the captivating story of the Herrnhut Star. In addition to the traditional stars, we proudly present this year's special edition—a festive, red-glittering star that perfectly complements your existing Christmas decorations.
Step into our Herrnhut Star hut at the Vancouver Christmas Market and immerse yourself in the world of Moravian Stars and other cherished German Christmas traditions and products, such as HUSS Incense cones and burners. In 2022, we expanded our offerings to include exquisite handmade Christmas tree decorations from MAROLIN and Kuhnert, two renowned German companies.
Beyond shopping, indulge in the delights of the "Gourmetstrasse," a dedicated street offering authentic German dishes like "Haxe" and "Bratwurst," as well as mulled wine and beers to tantalize your taste buds. Live music and attractions, including a merry-go-round, ensure there's never a dull moment.
