Wishing all Dads a Happy Father's Day. It's a special day of honouring our fathers and father figures today.
In many European countries, Father's Day has been celebrated on November 16, as Saint Joseph's Day since the Middle Ages. The holiday is held on various dates across the world and different regions maintain their own traditions of honouring fatherhood. In Canada and the USA, Father's Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June since the first time in 1910.
All our German followers know; in Germany, fathers celebrate it in May on Ascension Day.
For all German employees it is a day off - since 1934 Ascension Day has been a public holiday in Germany. However, many people are more familiar with the day as Father's Day. Excursion tours in particular (with beer and handcart) are a popular ritual that has developed around Father's Day.
How do you celebrate your father? We love to hear from you about your ideas and rituals.
We wish all fathers a great day however they are going to be celebrated!

Another round of the Virtual Toronto Gift + Home Market is awaiting us in August. As we are seeing many improvements and openings concerning Covid-19 restrictions, large scale indoor events, however, cannot yet take place in Ontario. Therefore, we welcome another round of the Virtual Toronto Gift + Home Market in August. MyBrilliantStar will take part again with a virtual booth and full online service. The show will be LIVE from August 9-12, however our online booth will be accessible for retailers far beyond the live show, from August 9 – September 3.
Happy Canada Day! Today on Canada Day, you will see it proudly flying throughout the country. Maybe you’ve waved a paper hand flag on Canada Day, or worn it as a pin on your jacket. Maybe you’ve even sewn one on to your travel backpack! Regardless of where you see it, the National Flag of Canada stands out both at home and abroad as one of the most striking and recognizable symbols representing Canada.
Mother's Day is just around the corner - get ready! Mothers are havens, solid rocks in good and bad times, and always here for us kids (no matter the age) when we need them. That is why we celebrate them every year with a special holiday – Mother’s Day!
