CHRISTMAS VILLAGE PHILADELPHIA SHINES BRIGHT WITH HERRNHUT STARS FROM GERMANY

Christmas Village Philadelphia 2015

Philadephia, PA, October 22, 2015

Thanks to the sponsorship of more than 55 Original Herrnhut Stars from the German company Herrnhuter Sterne and MyBrilliantStar, its Official Partner in the USA.

This year the Christmas Village Philadelphia appears in a new stunning look. The whole Christmas Village will be illuminated in the light of over 55 Original Herrnhut Stars. You can discover stars on the top of each booth, but the highlight will be the biggest Herrnhut Star in a diameter of 1.30 m / 51 inch, which floats high above the main stage.

Christmas Village Philadelphia

The cooperation between Hernhuter Sterne and the Christmas Village Philadelphia is one of the biggest sponsoring from Herrnhuter in the USA so far and is strengthened with a five-year agreement. MyBrilliantStar CEO Hartmut Friedrichs said: “We are very glad to have such a good relationship with the Christmas Village Philadelphia and its organizer Thomas Bauer from the German American Marketing, Inc. Attending the market in Philadelphia is a further step to bring the Original Herrnhut Star to the people in North America. You may be curious to see which activities of us will follow”.

Herrnhuter is one of the German Gift Vendors that will be at the market from November 21st to December 27th. Its hut will offer a variety of Herrnhut Stars, as well as modern decoration products from Raeder/Bochum.  The Christmas Village is located at the Love Park (JFK Plaza), 1500 Arch Street in Philadelphia, PA.

Anyone who purchases a star will be sharing in a Christmas Tradition that all started in East Saxony over 160 years ago, when a teacher created the first Moravian Star in a private school for boys as a geometry lesson.  Traditionally, the star is hung up on the first Sunday of Advent, and remains up until Epiphany, January 6th.

The Herrnhut Star Factory is located in the town of Herrnhut, East Saxony, Germany.  The original Herrnhut Star consists of 17 square and 8 triangular points.

MyBrilliantStar offers Herrnhut Stars (also known as Moravian Stars) for Christmas, Weddings and other events, and is Herrnhuter’s Official Partner in the USA and Exclusive Distributer in Canada.

HOW THE WORLD HONOURS OUR FATHERS

HAPPY FATHER's DAY. Father's Day is a day of honouring our father. The day is held on various dates across the world and different regions maintain their own traditions of honouring fatherhood. All our German followers know; in Germany, fathers celebrate it in May on Ascension Day. For all employees it is as day off, since 1934 Ascension Day has been a public holiday in Germany.
